I think we'll keep it though. My husband was in law enforcement for a very long time and he tells me that the technology for tracking cell phones is not all it is cracked up to be. Basically, in most large cities, if you call 911 from your cell phone but cannot speak to direct the police to your location, they can use some sort of geometrical magic to target your location within a certain radius...but they can't get your exact location. So maybe keep it just until the kids are old enough that you are sure they would be able to give their address in a stressful situation?
Love you!
LindsLindsay Connor O'Briennoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338272234570583404.post-69653964983467363812012-03-07T21:20:20.919-05:002012-03-07T21:20:20.919-05:00Yeah, I know it's the phones. We have had the phones for a while, so we'll see how long they last. We only use it for local calls anyway, sp it may be on its way out!The Cliffordshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12088254670344207219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2338272234570583404.post-31587140357601692242012-03-06T19:11:37.025-05:002012-03-06T19:11:37.025-05:00Are you sure its the phones? I had that happen last night and thought it was the phone but it was the batteries on the monoxide detector getting low (even though it was plugged in). The smoke alarm does it too. I have a land line but only because I need it for internet otherwise I would get rid of it.Leahnoreply@blogger.com
